PackagePad is the Smart Locker for Your Community

As deliveries skyrocket in communities across the United States, management companies are often taxed with the increased burden of delivering their residents' packages securely. Package delivery is already cited as a number one concern among apartment dwellers.

Provide your residents with PackagePad™- the automated package system that is helping more and more communities manage their packages. Besides providing a secure and 24/7 accessible location for resident deliveries or dry cleaning, the lockers in many cases will satisfy signature requirements which can prevent additional delivery attempts or trips to the post office. See below why PackagePad is the amenity your residents will love!

Some of Your Questions

  • Is your locker system 'designed for 100% acceptance'?
  • What are the different levels of support you offer?
  • Do you offer different colors for PackagePad?
  • Do you offer online tools for managing PackagePad?
  • Why do you only offer one color for online orders?
  • Can I custom order a rental unit?
  • What happens if repairs are needed to the machine?
  • Can PackagePad be installed outdoors?
  • What are the installation requirements?
  • Do you offer a call box?
  • What happens if PackagePad loses connection to the Internet?
  • How soon can PackagePad be installed after it is ordered?
  • Is PackagePad ADA compliant?
  • What happens if a resident never retrieves their package?
  • Will PackagePad receive software updates automatically?
Yes, like some of our competitors, we offer a configuration that offers '100% acceptance' of packages. Like our competitors, this requires a dedicated room or small closet adjacent to the machine to be setup with an electronic lock that can be controlled by the machine, available for an additional setup fee. This room will be used if the box is physically too large for the locker system (such as furniture or other large boxes), or the machine has run out of empty compartments. This room will be accessed via the touchscreen by residents, like any other compartment on the machine. If you do not want to setup a package room with your PackagePad machine, you can setup the machine to ask postal carriers to leave extremely large packages outside the machine, or to deliver them to the resident's door. Please speak to our sales staff about your situation, and if this makes sense for your community.

Our Standard Support plan gives you and your residents access to our fully featured portal, which shows camera footage when packages are deposited and retrieved, plus detailed logs of when packages were deposited and retrieved.

Our Enhanced Support plan gives you access to our support team, allowing us to help with any questions you may have. Standard Support customers may also contact our support team, paying per occurrence. Please see our rates page for more details.

All PackagePad installations include 6 months of Enhanced Support included with the purchase price.

To keep reduced inventory and offer our customers the very best price, all of our standard lockers ordered through the website are white in color. White matches most decors and is easy to clean and maintain. You can, however, special order a custom locker by contacting our sales team.
Yes. See more details about some of our online tools here.
To offer our customers the very best price, we have simplified our inventory by offering our most popular color, white, through our online order form. For those communities who want a more customized machine, you can custom order a cabinet in the exact color, configuiration, and branding that you want through our sales team.
If you want a custom order locker, you must purchase the locker.
If you rent a PackagePad machine, most repairs will be handled by us. For those purchasing a machine, we offer a 1 year limited warranty. As part of our monthly service fee, we coordinate any needed repairs through our local authorized repair technicians.
If the installation site is less than 15 feet away from an outdoor area, you must order an outdoor model of PackagePad. An outdoor model is recommended in any area where it may be exposed to moisture or other elements. The outdoor model must have a shelter built over the locker system to prevent direct exposure to rain and other elements.
  • Indoor cabinets must be installed in enclosed level area at least 15 feet from any outdoor area.
  • Outdoor cabinets must be installed on a level surface, preferably out of the direct sunlight and against the side of a building. All outdoor cabinets must be installed under a shelter (not included) which prevents direct exposure to rain. We can special order a metal roof that fits on top of the outdoor cabinets- please contact our sales department for details.
  • If installed in a parking garage or near vehicles, metal bollards must be installed to protect machine from automobile damage. (not included)
  • 120 volt grounded electrical outlet required, in close proximity to the location of the machine.
  • 1 wired (Ethernet/RJ45) Internet connection required (not included; must be within 750 feet of router or modem). WIFI is not supported. Internet is not included with the cost of the cabinet and must be purchased separately.
  • Cabinets cannot block any fire escape egress route.
  • If located in hallway, at least 7 foot width required.
  • There must be a wide enough path to be able to move PackagePad from the street to the installation location. Extra charges may be required if there are steps or other obstacles impeding installation.
  • Floor must be able to support the weight of PackagePad. Each cabinet weights about 500 pounds.
  • Postal carriers must have access to PackagePad location.
OwnerGo can currently connect to some Internet enabled call box systems, however, we will be offering an easy to install call box solution that links directly up to OwnerGo. Like us on Facebook or subscribe to our newsletter for updates.
PackagePad is designed to work even if the Internet goes down. PackagePad can accept new packages as well as let residents with a code extract their packages from the machine when the Internet is not working. Residents with packages deposited while the Internet is down will be notified when the Internet connection is restored.
Once we receive payment for the machine, if we have inventory, we can get PackagePad to you and installed in about 30 days. If we are low on inventory, it can take up to 3 months to get PackagePad built, delivered, and installed. You can review your installation date by logging into your account and viewing the PackagePad section.
Yes, PackagePad is operable by residents, even if they cannot reach low or high compartments. A resident must select the 'accessible' option in their profile, and PackagePad does the rest.
PackagePad can be operated by blind residents by scanning the barcode from their email or the OwnerGo app, with the help of third party text reading apps. Once the barcode is scanned, the compartments with their packages will open automatically.
Management may configure how long a package can remain in PackagePad before the carrier is asked to return the package to the sender. Typically this is set to 3-5 days, however, some communities choose to not give any deadline to their residents.
Yes. Updates are automatically installed.
